Made just for knitters and crocheters, this Magnetic version of our Cherry Wood ruler is the perfect sidekick for your Pattern Binder! Discrete magnets affixed to the back let it snap securely to the Pattern Binder’s front cover, so you can easily keep your place while following a pattern.

Handcrafted in the USA from natural Cherry Wood, it measures up to 15 cm (6 inches) in both metric and imperial units. Choose from a standard ruler or one with needle gauge slots for US sizes 0-17.

With the T&M logo at the top and beautiful natural wood grain, each ruler is totally unique—just like your projects!

Lovely tool marked very nicely and clear, I was a little disappointed when I turned it over and it read made in the USA, trying to avoid products made there. But I do love the ruler :)

Magnet not very strong

Weak magnets

The ruler looks great but the magnets are really weak. It will not stay up with even a single sheet of A4 paper between the ruler and the magnetic cover of the pattern binder.

Not only is this handy for measuring any knitting detail, I use it to limit my chart view to the row I'm working on and the rows that came before. Never used to smack knuckles 🙃!

Backside burn from laser cutting, magnets are proud

Unfortunately this was quite a disappointing purchase given the positive experiences I have had so far with Thread & Maple's leather goods so far. The front of the ruler looks nice, but the backside looks extremely dirty from the laser cutting process (probably some process tuning needed). Also, the magnets are proud (not flush), so the ruler protrudes quite a bit from the pattern on my magnetic board. Hard to explain, but when I'm sitting and looking at my pattern from an angle to the page (rather than straight on), having a proud ruler makes it more difficult to precisely locate the line I'm on, especially when it casts a shadow on the row I need to read.
