Shipping & Delivery

We do our best to ship orders within 1-3 business days. Shipping times to Canada are 2-7 business days, with priority options also available. US shipping times typically range from 2 to 10 business days, depending on which fulfillment location processes your order. For international orders, shipping times vary depending on your location, but FedEx is usually the quickest to arrive within 2 weeks, 3 at most.

So, typically, your package should reach you within 3-10 business days of placing an order when shipping to USA & Canada. In case you want your order to reach you ASAP, then you have the option to select the fast delivery option at checkout.

We ship worldwide from Montreal, Canada. All available shipping options will be displayed at checkout.

As we are a Canadian company, we are required to collect tax on all items sold through our store as per applicable tax laws in Canada depending on your location:

- 14.975% (QST + GST) in Quebec

- 12% (PST + GST) in British Columbia and Saskatchewan

- 13% (HST) in Ontario

- 15% (HST) in New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island

- 5% (GST) in Alberta, Manitoba, Northwest Territories, Nunavut, and Yukon

Important Update for US Customers (August 2026):

New York State Tax: In compliance with state regulations, sales tax is collected on all New York orders. Rates are calculated at checkout based on your shipping destination (averaging around 8%) and apply to both order items and shipping fees.

US Orders & Import Guarantee: Most US orders ship domestically from our New York warehouse. If stock isn't available in New York, your order will be shipped DDP (delivered duty paid) from our Canadian headquarters. US-bound orders are guaranteed duty-free—you will never be charged import or customs fees.

In the rare event that you’re mistakenly billed for additional duties or fees, simply reach out to us at support@threadandmaple.com and we'll make it right. 

Taxes & Import Duties for International Orders

- No sales tax is collected by us from international customers. 

- EU/UK customers can expect to be charged 20% VAT of your order total by local customs. We are working on a DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) solution for our UK and EU customers, to allow pre-payment of VAT/import duties at checkout, but it is not yet available.

Unfortunately some countries hold packages, delay shipment, and can sometimes charge import duties on shipments. Thread and Maple is not responsible for import duties, customs fees or any additional costs that may arise in delivery. We are legally obligated to note the exact retail value of goods sold on all packages. Packages from us may be subject to import duties if you reside outside of Canada or the US, according to your country’s import policies. These policies vary widely from country to country. If you're unsure, please contact your local customs office for any specific information on import policies, fees and duties.

Returns & Exchanges
