Lykke Umbrella Swift

Material

This umbrella-style swift from Lykke is a dream to work with! Meticulously handcrafted from smooth, durable wood, it comes in two stunning finishes: Shisham Wood, formerly known as Indian Rosewood, and Mango Wood.

This tool has a maximum diameter of 76.2cm (30") and can accommodate skeins up to 240cm (94") in circumference. We love its smooth easy rotation and that it easily adjusts to different skein sizes, allowing you to effortlessly create skeins for washing or dyeing.

It comes with two pins in plastic-free packaging with a protective fabric bag for easy storage.

Pair it with the Lykke Ball Winder to quickly and easily create perfect yarn cakes for tangle-free knitting or crochet.

beautiful and functional

This swift by Lykke works so well and is also beautiful! I love the fact that it comes with a cotton bag/cover (keeps my naughty cats from chewing on the wood and small strings that are part of the construction). Thread & Maple had a great price for this item and I love supporting small, Canadian and woman-owned businesses.

A super tool for winding yarn

This swift works wonderfully and makes winding yarn so easy. It's structured very well and works like a charm. Hope to buy the matching ball winder when it comes available.

Useful as it is beautiful

I am a novice, but after some bad experiences (and days of) untangling wool i picked this up. Easy to install, easy to use. Beautiful to feel and watch. Highly recommend.
