Created in collaboration with our longtime friends Tracie & Jodi of Grocery Girls Knit and Karina of Louie & Lola Yarns, this year's limited-edition Knit for the Girls bundle features an limited edition leather sling bag design with a custom-woven jacquard strap, a gorgeous skein of L&L hand-dyed yarn and a brand-new sock pattern by Tracie Millar created especially for the fundraiser.

The fiber community has a way of showing up for each other, and we're proud to continue this annual tradition in support of breast cancer research.

What's Included

The Limited Edition Leather Sling Bag

At the heart of the bundle is our handcrafted Thread & Maple leather sling bag, handcrafted in Ukraine from premium, soft pebbled leather.. It comes in two colorways made just for this collection, each paired with an exclusive custom-woven jacquard strap. A breast cancer ribbon motif is woven into each strap's design — a small detail that carries a lot of meaning.

• Pink + Twisted Hope: Bold, joyful, and full of optimism. The Twisted Hope strap is inspired by the threads that connect us and the hope we carry together.
• Espresso + Blooming Strength: Warm and timeless. The Blooming Strength strap celebrates resilience, growth, and the strength that blooms through even the hardest seasons.

Each bag comes with its coordinating jacquard strap, created exclusively for this collection.

Designed with makers in mind, the bag features a zippered back pocket for your phone or small essentials, an interior slip pocket, and a yarn-feed opening at the zipper so your yarn flows smoothly while you knit or crochet. Each bag is also subtly embossed with the breast cancer ribbon, a meaningful detail commemorating this special collection and the cause it supports.

Louie & Lola Merino Nylon DK Yarn

Tucked inside is a 100g skein of Louie & Lola Merino Nylon DK, hand-dyed in Tasmania in a delicate shade of pink. We chose it to tie the whole collection together and pair beautifully with this year's sock pattern.

80% Superwash Merino + 20% Nylon | 243 meters per 100g skein | 21-25sts to 10cm using 3.75-4.5mm needles.

Side by Side Socks — Exclusive Pattern by Tracie Millar

The bundle also includes a brand-new design from Tracie Millar, the Side by Side Socks, created especially for Knit for the Girls.

Featuring a classic twisted rib cuff and a beautiful eyelet lace motif down the leg, these socks are a lovely project for knitters of all levels. The simple lace is perfect for beginners, followed by smooth sailing with a relaxing stockinette foot and toe. They're just as gorgeous with a shorter leg, and make a wonderful project to knit for yourself or someone you love.

Giving Back

For every Knit for the Girls bundle sold through Thread & Maple, $35 CAD / $30 USD will be donated to Breast Cancer Canada, supporting vital breast cancer research.

Limited Edition Release

The Knit for the Girls bundles launch October 31 at 12pm EDT in limited quantities. Once they sell out, preorders will open so more makers can be part of the collection.
