Made of birch wood, they are smooth, light, soft and warm to the touch. The smooth cables and seamless joins make these hooks a delight to work with. These hooks have a very particular head, with a pointed tip and deep groove, perfect for intricate patterns and lightweight yarns. As a bonus, the set includes caps which can be added to the hooks to use them as regular hooks.

Please note: the length of the hook is measured from the tip to the end of the metal on the cord once attached. The cord lengths will include the length of one crochet hook and stopper.

Handcrafted in Vermont by a husband and wife duo Tom & Linda Diak, these needles are a truly special heirloom set. These are quite possibly the sharpest wood needles on the market with a long taper, which means practically no strand splits. For those of you who wish you could have a sharp lace tip on a wooden needle, look no further.

These are an absolute pleasure to knit with, with an incredibly smooth finish and phenomenal completely seamless joins. A neat feature is that the cable rotates inside the little connector so there's not so much tangling and coiling as with other interchangeables. The cables themselves are very high quality coated wire and all the needles are made in the USA from locally sourced materials. The cables also fit all the Dyakcraft Tunisian crochet hooks (which are an absolute dream by the way!) Tom is an award-winning wood turner - all of the wood needles are turned, polished, buffed and finished in his studio in Vermont, while Linda makes all the cords and cases.

The set consists of US 4, 5, 6, 6.5, 7, 8, and 9" interchangeable needle tip pairs and three cables, four end stops, and a fabric case.
