These wheel-thrown mugs are handcrafted in small batches from high quality stoneware clay and fired at extremely high temperatures, making them strong and durable. Each one is hand-painted with delicate gold luster details, so no two mugs are exactly the same.

If you'll be using the envelope as gift wrap for your hand-knit: hats, socks, mittens, baby items, and fingering-weight or finer cowls and shawls will fit beautifully. If you're not sure, here's a good way to gauge whether your item will fit:

1. Place an A4 (8.5 x 11") piece of paper on a flat surface
2. Fold your knitted item and place it on top of the paper, so that there is about 1/2" of white showing behind it on all sides
3. Measure the height of the folded piece. If it's 3" or less, you're good!

Each envelope comes with two detachable leather tags: one beautifully scripted tag reads "Handmade with Love" for the gift-givers out there. The second is embossed with the Thread & Maple logo.
