What is Claus for a Cause?

This holiday season we're teaming up with Arcane Fibre Works to bring a little more love and joy to the world through Santa Claus Without Borders. This Canadian-based charity brings shoes, sweaters, and toys to children in hospitals, orphanages, and deprived communities in Mexico. 

Donate $5 or more and be entered to win a fibre-tastic prize bundle, featuring 5 gorgeous skeins of yarn by Arcane Fibre Works, a T&M Necessaire plus an array of T&M notions and goodies. 

AND donors who have (or place) a pending order with Thread & Maple will get a surprise skein of Arcane Fibre Works yarn with their order (while supplies last).

Q: Why Santa Clause Without Borders? 

A: The organization began officially in 2017, but founder Santa Nöel had begun a delighting disadvantaged children a decade before in Mexico, Chile, & the US. The organization has grown to provide 450 pairs of shoes, 750 sweaters and thousands of toys and gifts to underprivileged kids in Mexico.

Q: How do I enter to win the raffle? 

Donate $5 or more to Santa Clause Without Borders through our fundraising page and you'll be automatically entered to win. 

Q: How do I get a free skein of yarn? 

A: You need 2 things to get a free skein: 1) - a donation via our fundraising page and 2) an open order with T&M. We'll toss a surprise skein in with your order--while supplies last (we've got about 50 skeins). 

Q: Why only free skeins with orders? 

A: If we're being honest, shipping is expensive! And we plan on donating every cent to Santa Clause Without Borders--not spending donations to cover shipping. So we're slipping skeins into T&M orders and covering the additional shipping size/weight ourselves. 

Q: Can I choose which colorway/base I get? 

A: Unfortunately we cannot take requests. We have a random assortment of bases and colors. But they're all so gorgeous we think you'll love whatever you get!

A Big Thanks! 

We can't say goodbye without a big thanks and shout out to Tyler Burgess, the dyer and mastermind behind the fabulous color ways of Arcane Fibre Works. 

He generously donated so many skeins to the Breast Cancer Research Fundraiser that we wanted to do something special with the extras. Since we all have young kids and the holiday season is approaching, this was the perfect fit!

P.S. The Knitted Knockers MAL has ended! 

Thanks so much to everyone who made a knitted knocker (or 10)! The MAL ended yesterday and we could not be more pleased with the dozens of knockers now winging their way to ladies who need them. 

The two winners of the MAL winner bundles and have been notified on Ravelry! 

We were able to donate $570 to the Knitted Knockers foundation through kit purchases and we will continue to donate all proceeds from Shelli Can's yarntastic boobie pins.
